Josef Štefan Kubín

Josef Štefan Kubín (born October 7, 1864 in Jičín , † November 25, 1965 in Prague ) was a Czech ethnographer and writer.

Life

After graduating from high school, he studied philosophy. Then he worked as a teacher. From 1902 in Jičín, then two years in Mladá Boleslav and until 1925 in Prague. He occupied himself with the study of folk literature , primarily fairy tales , which he published as collections. In Germany he appeared when the world was full of devils. Fairy tales from the Giant Mountains and Bohemia . In addition, at the beginning of the 20th century he researched the history of the Bohemian angle , which previously belonged to the Bohemian rule Nachod and from 1477 to the rule Hummel in the west of the former county Glatz .
