Josef Anton von Weber
Josef Anton von Weber (often also Joseph Anton Weber ; born January 14, 1685 in Arth ; † August 21, 1728 ibid) was a Swiss politician and officer .
Weber was the son of the Schwyz state advocate Dominik von Weber and came from the Weber family . His training is unknown. In 1708 he became a constable sergeant and in 1712 a member of the war council during the Toggenburg War . As usual for members of the family, he then took on various public offices, for example he was provincial governor from 1715 to 1717 and then from 1717 to 1719 Schwyz governor . In 1719 he was envoy to the Diet and in 1720 to the annual accounts in Lugano .
The politician and chancellor of the Einsiedeln monastery Felix Ludwig von Weber was his son.
