Josef Arnold (politician, 1950)
Josef Arnold (born September 13, 1950 , legal resident in Seedorf ) is a Swiss politician ( CVP ).
biography
He was a primary school teacher and from 1977 until his election to the government council of the canton Uri in 2000 a secondary teacher in the school district Seedorf. He held the following political mandates:
- 1981–1994: Local council in Seedorf
- 1986–1992: Catholic regional church councilor of the canton Uri
- 1991–1994: Mayor of Seedorf
- 1987–2000: Member of the Seedorf Auditing Commission; District Administrator
As a government councilor , he has been the director of education and culture since 2000. From 2002 to 2004 he was the country's governor from 2004 to 2006, the bailiff .
