Josef Bardarini

Josef Bardarini (born October 8, 1708 in Fiume ; † November 5, 1791 ibid) was Professor of Theology and Director of the University Library in Graz .

Josef Bardarini joined the Jesuit Order at the age of 15 . He was a doctor of theology, professor of theology and philosophy at the University of Graz and rector in Görz , Fiume and Graz . After the abolition of the Jesuit order , he became a secular priest (imperial court chaplain) and as such from 1773 to 1774 the first director of the Graz University Library after its nationalization and at the same time rector of the university. Richard Tecker was his successor as library director .
