Josef Egger (politician, 1913)

Josef Egger (born November 27, 1913 in Göggingen (now Augsburg), † May 1, 1984 in Augsburg ) was a German master painter and varnisher .

After attending primary school, Egger trained as a painter and varnisher. In 1938 he passed the master craftsman's examination and one year later he founded his own company. After participating in the Second World War , he was head master of the Augsburg painters and varnishers' guild, and also part-time specialist teacher at the master school. He was a member of the board of directors of the national guild association of the painting and varnishing trade and was deputy district master craftsman. From 1970 to 1984 he was President of the Chamber of Crafts for Swabia and during this time also a member of the Crafts Council in Bonn and Chairman of the Supervisory Board and the Board of Management of Raiffeisenbank Augsburg . From 1973 to 1981 he was district president of the Bavarian Raiffeisen district association in Swabia . From January 1, 1976 to May 1, 1984 he was a member of the Bavarian Senate .
