Heinz Lueg

Heinz Lueg (born April 30, 1914 in Achtelsbach ; † December 20, 1984 in Aachen ) was a German electrical engineer and university professor.

Life

Heinz Lueg was born on April 30, 1914 in Achtelsbach, the son of Otto and Maria Lueg. His father was a Protestant pastor in Idar-Oberstein .

In 1940 , Heinz Lueg received his doctorate from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main on " An arrangement for generating and examining hard gamma rays ". During the Second World War he was drafted into the Wehrmacht .

After the war, Heinz Lueg worked in industry for a while, e.g. B. at the research institute of Telefunken in Ulm. He then worked at the Battelle Institute in Frankfurt am Main. Heinz Lueg completed his habilitation in 1954 at the University of Saarland .

At the RWTH Aachen he became professor for technical electronics. Heinz Lueg was married to Gisela Schumann, a daughter of the philologist Otto Schumann . His main lecture at RWTH was on impulse technology . He also read about aircraft technology . Lueg's doctoral students include Kurt Bergmann , Rudolf Schwarte and Rudolf Wohlleben .

Heinz Lueg worked in the field of radar technology at Telefunken .

Heinz Lueg died on December 20, 1984 in Aachen.
