Rudolf Wohlleben (born June 4, 1936 in Bad Kreuznach ) is a German electrical engineer, writer and student historian.

Life

Wohlleben attended high schools in Sobernheim and Wilhelmsdorf (Württemberg) and the high school on the city wall in Bad Kreuznach. After graduating from high school (1955) he did industrial internships in Bad Kreuznach and Rheinböllerhütte . He then studied physics and communications at the TH Karlsruhe and the TH Munich . Since November 11, 1960 , he has been an engineer and worked from 1961 to 1964 at the Fraunhofer Institute for High Frequency Physics and Radar Technology in Rolandseck . From October 1964 to December 1970 he carried out research at the Institute for Technical Electronics at RWTH Aachen University , where he received his PhD in 1969 with Heinz Lueg with the dissertation “ Radiation zone and phase center of the two-armed, conical, logarithmic spiral antenna. received his doctorate . At the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy he devoted himself from 1971 to 1999 to the disciplines of microwave technology , antenna technology , radar and radio astronomy . From 1980 he held corresponding teaching positions at the University of Kaiserslautern .

Wohlleben is a member of four corps in the Weinheim Seniors Convent (and in the Rudolstadt Seniors Convent ): Alemannia Karlsruhe (November 1, 1955), Corps of Marcomanni and Franco-Guestphalen (1998), Franconia Berlin zu Kaiserslautern (2001) and Franco- Guestphalia zu Cologne (2004). He was chairman of the Weinheimer Association of Old Corps Students (1995–1997) and the Association for Corps Student History Research (2003–2009) as well as curator of the WVAC collection at the Würzburg Institute for University Studies (2005–2010). He adores Stefan George . He first performed the love drama Isi and Stefan intended for him on April 2, 2011 in the Kreuznach Museum PuppentheaterKultur. On July 21, 2011 he opened Wohlleben's Kreuznacher Faust Museum .
