Josef Frais

Josef Frais (born January 24, 1946 in Milenov , Czechoslovakia , † January 10, 2013 in Hranice na Moravě ) was a Czech writer.

Life

Frais learned the trade of miner and then worked as a cutter , grinder and stoker . He worked as an actor , theater dramaturge and radio editor , but was also employed as a cabinet maker. Josef Frais wrote short stories and novels and published texts in magazines. His first major work, the novel Muži z podzemního kontinentu , took place in the Czech coalfield of Ostrava .
