Josef Freiermuth

Josef Freiermuth (born October 10, 1901 in Edesheim , † June 25, 1994 in Kandel ) was a German teacher and politician ( CDU ).

Life

Freiermuth attended elementary school , then from 1915 to 1918 the Edenkoben preparatory school and then from 1918 to 1921 the teacher training institute in Speyer . From 1921 he was initially a substitute teacher at various locations, in 1925 he became an auxiliary teacher in Heltersberg , in 1927 in Arzheim and in 1934 in Bellheim . In 1940 he became rector of the Bellheim elementary school. From 1943 to 1945 Freiermuth did military service as a medical sergeant.

In 1945 he was suspended as rector. On July 18, 1946, the verdict of the Central Clean-Up Commission in Neustadt read: Downgrade to the salary of 1937 and two years' ban on advancement. On August 3, 1948, the cleansing order from the State Commissioner for Political Cleansing read: not affected.

In 1959 he became rector again, in 1963 school councilor at the district government of the Palatinate and in 1964 head of the district education office in Germersheim .

politics

Until 1933 Freiermuth was active in leading positions in the Catholic youth movement. From 1930 to 1933 he was a member of the diocesan committee of the Catholic Young Men Association (DJK).

In 1933 he became a member of the NS sacrificial ring , from 1934 to 1943 he was a member of the National Socialist Teachers' Association and from 1935 a member of the National Socialist People's Welfare . In 1937 he joined the NSDAP .

In 1952 he was a volunteer youth carer in the district of Germersheim and chairman of the educators' community in the Federation of Catholic Educators in the Palatinate. In 1955 he became a member of the CDU.

In 1959 he was elected to the fourth state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate , to which he belonged for an electoral term until 1963. In the state parliament he was a member of the cultural policy committee and petitions committee.
