Josef Hager (District Administrator)

Josef Hager (born June 15, 1916 , † January 15, 2002 in St. Ingbert ) was a German district administrator in the district of Sankt Ingbert .

Life

Hager initially worked in the local government of St. Ingbert before he was drafted into military service from 1939 to 1945 on the occasion of the Second World War . After the war he made up his Abitur and began studying law . In 1950 he passed the Great State Examination in Law and one year later was appointed Regional Court Councilor in Saarbrücken .

On July 9, 1956, Hager took part in his first district council meeting as acting district administrator of St. Ingbert , an office he held until December 21, 1956. He then became the district administrator and chaired his first district council meeting on February 14, 1957. He remained district administrator until 1965. As early as 1963, Hager became president and association chairman of the Saar Savings Banks and Giro Association , which he exercised in a full-time position from 1965 when his tenure as district administrator ended. In addition, Hager was also a board member of the German Savings Banks and Giro Association . In 1981 he retired.
