Josef Innerhofer
Josef Innerhofer (born July 21, 1931 in Campo Tures ) is a South Tyrolean priest and publicist .
Life
Innerhofer attended the Vinzentinum in Brixen from 1942 to 1952 and then the local seminary . In 1957 he was ordained a priest . As a result, he enrolled at the University of Salzburg , where he received his doctorate with the history of the Taufers parish in Pustertal , submitted in 1964 . From 1965 to 1992 Innerhofer was editor of the Catholic Sunday paper of the diocese of Bozen-Brixen and from 1992 to 1998 director of the Institute for the Promotion of Young Journalists (ifp) in Munich. Until 1993 he also taught media education at the Philosophical-Theological University of Brixen .
Innerhofer was considered a close friend of Bishop Wilhelm Egger , whom he presented to the public in 1986. He also acted as a postulator in the beatification process of Josef Mayr-Nusser .
In 2011 Innerhofer received the honorary citizenship of his home community Sand in Taufers.
