Josef Kreilinger

Josef Kreilinger (born October 13, 1928 - † November 25, 2015 ) was a German farmer and animal breeder.

Career

Kreilinger grew up on his parents' farm in Munzing near Fürstenzell in Lower Bavaria . In addition to agriculture, they ran Simmental cattle and horses. At an early age, he began to volunteer in associations for Simmental breeding, insemination, performance testing and horse breeding. From 1965 to 1990 he was chairman of the horse breeding association Niederbayern / Oberpfalz. From 1990 he was president of the main association for the promotion of the animal processing industry in Bavaria, from 1994 first chairman of the animal breeding research in Munich, from 1994 to 2006 chairman of the animal health service in Bavaria, from 1990 to 2001 chairman of the regional board of trustees of the producer rings for animal processing industry (LKV) and from 1993 until 1998 deputy chairman of the working group of southern German cattle breeding associations.

On his initiative, the cattle data network was set up between Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and Austria .
