Josef Moder

Josef Moder (born July 7, 1909 in Graslitz , † 1986 in Würzburg ) was a Bohemian-German writer.

Life

Josef Moder was born as the son of factory worker Robert Josef Moder and his wife Hüttl in Graslitz, where he attended elementary school and then the state high school. From 1930 to 1932 he was editor of the Graslitzer Grenzbote and attended the State Teachers Training Institute in Komotau . After completing his training, he worked as a teacher in his hometown of Graslitz. After the expulsion , he worked as a book maker and editor in Vienna and moved to Bavaria in 1948. He worked for newspapers in Mespelbrunn and later in Frankfurt am Main . He became known for his short stories and books for young people . Moder was a member of various writers' associations, such as the Franconian Writers' Association and the Regensburg Writers' Group International (RSGI).
