Career

Rosenegger was born as the second child of the Moier farmers Sebastian and Maria Rosenegger from Seiboldsdorf. In July 1948 he came to Haslach as a chaplain . In November 1949 he went to Degerndorf as an assistant priest , and in March 1950 as a chaplain in the parish of St. Johann-Baptist in Töging . From June 1952 he was chaplain in Landshut St. Margaret. In June 1956 he became parish curate and first pastor in the newly established parish of St. Josef in Töging. Finally, in May 1964, he came to Flintsbach in the Rosenheim district as a pastor , where his center of life remained until his death.

During his time as chaplain in Haslach, Rosenegger began to grapple with the history of the place and the parish. In 1967 he was made an honorary citizen of Haslach for his services as a chronicler . He also wrote a series of art-historical church guides for the Schnell und Steiner publishing house . In 1998 he wrote the master's thesis The Archdiocese of Salzburg between Inn, Salzach and Rott in three volumes.
