Josef Wiederkehr

Josef "Gius" Wiederkehr (born July 4, 1970 in Dietikon ) is a Swiss entrepreneur and politician ( CVP ). In 1995 he brought the Junge CVP Limmattal back to life. From 1999 to 2012, Wiederkehr was a CVP councilor in Dietikon. He has been a member of the Zurich Cantonal Council since 2005 .

Life and work

Wiederkehr attended primary and secondary school in Dietikon. After an apprenticeship as a bricklayer, he made up his Matura (Type C) and studied economics at the University of Zurich from 1993 to 1998 . Afterwards , Wiederkehr did his doctorate while working . The Wiederkehr family has been active in the construction and scaffolding industry for four generations. Wiederkehr has been running the family-owned companies Bauunternehmung Josef Wiederkehr AG, S + W Bauunternehmung and Bertani Baugerüst AG since 2000. From 2009 to March 2018 he was President of the Swiss Scaffolding Entrepreneur Association (SGUV).

Since April 2015, Wiederkehr has been president of the Dietiker Industrie- und Handelsverein (IHV), since 2014 president of the building trade group of the cantonal trade association (KGV) and from 2000 to 2014 he presided over the working group economy and society (AWG) of the canton of Zurich. In addition, he is involved as a member of the Vorwärts Limmattal committee , the committee for regional transport solutions, and as a co-presidium member in the “Gateway: not like this!” Committee . Wiederkehr is a colonel in the Swiss Army .

politics

From 1999 to 2012 sat Josef return for the CVP in the council of the city of Dietikon. In 2005 he was elected to the Zurich Cantonal Council. There he is Vice President of the Commission for Planning and Construction, as well as a member of the Intergroup Conference (IFK). He is also Vice President of the CVP Canton of Zurich , on the Board of CVP Switzerland and an honorary member of CVP Dietikon. On October 18, 2015, he ran for the National Council elections. In July 2018 Josef Wiederkehr became the new president of the CVP cantonal parliamentary group. Politically, Wiederkehr stands for the recently more pronounced bourgeois course of the CVP in Zurich.
