Josef Zengerle

Josef Zengerle (born August 17, 1948 in Hinang bei Sonthofen ) was a member of the CSU in the Bavarian state parliament for the constituency of Kempten, Oberallgäu from 1994 to 2008 .

biography

After attending primary school in Altstädten (since 1974 a district of Sonthofen), Zengerle trained as a farmer and then went to an agricultural college for two years . Then he learned the second profession of bricklayer , which he practiced for ten years before he took over the farm from his parents in 1974. He then ran the business together with his son until 2011 in the form of a civil law company , before handing over the business completely in May 2011.

In 1978 he joined the CSU and became a member of the party's city and district council. In addition, he was local chairman of the Bavarian Bavarian Association (BBV) for four electoral terms , and deputy district chairman in the fourth electoral term. Furthermore, he has been city councilor in Sonthofen since 1984, and since 1990 district councilor in the Oberallgäu district council .

From 1996 to 2000 Zengerle was chairman of the "State Association of the Bavarian Dairy Industry ". Since 2000 he has been chairman of the regional association's advertising committee, as well as chairman of the "Milchwirtschaftlichen Verein Allgäu-Schwaben eV". He is also chairman of the supervisory board of the regional milk producers' association “Allgäuer Bergbauernmilch eG” and was temporarily a member of the supervisory board of the Allgäuland-Käsereien GmbH for this cooperative .

On October 17, 1994 he was elected to the Bavarian State Parliament. Most recently he was a member of the committees for “Agriculture and Forests” and “Regional Development and Environmental Issues”.

In the state elections in 2008 , as a candidate on the list for the Swabian district, he was unable to return to the state parliament due to the heavy losses suffered by the CSU.

Zengerle is of Roman Catholic faith, has three children and has been widowed since August 2010.
