Josef Zotter (born February 21, 1961 in Feldbach , Styria ) is an Austrian entrepreneur .

Life

After training as a chef in Söchau , Zotter moved to the Arlberg and became head chef at the Hotel St. Antoner Hof. After a few years he switched to head chef Werner Matt at the Hilton Hotel in Vienna . After working as a gastronomy cook, Zotter opened four coffee houses in Graz in 1987 . In 1996 his branches went bankrupt.

In 1999 he opened the Zotter chocolate factory . His idiosyncratic creations were discussed in television and radio programs, for example in the Galileo program . In 2008 he received the Trigos Prize for Social Responsibility of the Province of Styria for his commitment to fair trade raw materials.

  • 2010: Trigos Prize Styria and WIN special prize for the cocoa instead of cocaine project
