Career

In January 2008 he joined BM Ciudad Real , but had to leave the team after winning the championship, the Copa del Rey de Balonmano , the Copa ASOBAL and the EHF Champions League 2007/08 and signed with SDC San Antonio . Since this club got into financial difficulties, he moved on to Pilotes Posada . He also left this team after just one season, in which he was top scorer with 183 goals, to BM Aragón . For the 2012/13 season he returned to the successor to Ciudad Real BM Atlético Madrid and won the Super Globe 2012 and the Copa del Rey de Balonmano 2013. After Madrid withdrew in the summer of 2013, he moved again to CB Ciudad de Logroño. After the runner-up in 2014, he left the club and joined the Romanian club Știința Dedeman Bacău.

Despite his success, Josep Masachs has not yet been appointed to the Spanish national team. He played five junior internationals in which he scored seven goals.
