Joseph Buettner

Joseph Büttner (born August 8, 1898 in Limburg an der Lahn , † June 22, 1978 in Hilchenbach ) was a German lawyer and politician, first of the center and later of the CDU .

Life

After graduating from high school , Büttner did military service in the First World War between 1916 and 1918 . After the end of the war he studied law in Frankfurt am Main . He then completed the usual legal preparatory service. Between 1924 and 1928 Büttner served as assistant judge. Afterwards he was a district judge in the rank of district judge in Rathenow .

During the Weimar Republic , Büttner was active in the center and ran unsuccessfully for the Prussian state parliament and the Reichstag .

At the beginning of the National Socialist rule he was transferred to Hilchenbach for political reasons . There he was a district judge until 1946. His professional activity was interrupted by military service between 1939 and 1945.

After the war Büttner co-founded the CDU in Siegerland . Between 1946 and 1964 he was a city councilor in Hilchenbach. From 1969 he was a member of the city council. Between 1946 and 1948 he was also mayor there.

Until 1961 he was a member of the district council of the district of Siegen . Between 1946 and 1954 Büttner served as district administrator. He was then deputy district administrator from 1956 to 1958. Between 1958 and 1961 he was again district administrator for the district of Siegen. From 1956 to 1970 he was a member of the board of the local council of North Rhine-Westphalia .

From 1947 to 1962 Büttner was directly elected member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .
