Joseph Eduard Mose

Joseph Eduard Mose (born August 16, 1825 in Frankenstein , Lower Silesia, † August 9, 1898 in Breslau ) was a German architect who was particularly active in Schleswig-Holstein .

As an apprentice bricklayer , he worked on the construction of Kamenz Castle , which Karl Friedrich Schinkel had designed. After completing the building conductor examination in 1846, he was recommended to Holstein and in 1852 he settled as a master mason in Preetz . The houses at Kieler Strasse 21 and Bahnhofstrasse 14 came from Moses there.

Mose was the site manager on the Blomenburg near Selent and architect of the manor houses Gut Salzau and Heiligenstedten . Conversions under his direction were carried out on the Helmstorf, Farve , Perdöl, Kühren, Panker , Neuhaus, Grünholz and Louisenlund estates . He was also commissioned to renovate the Preetz monastery church between 1886 and 1893 .
