Joseph Galibardy

Joseph "Joe" Deville Thomas Galibardy (born January 10, 1915 in Calcutta , † May 17, 2011 in Walthamstow , London ) was an Indian hockey player .

He was a member of the Indian national hockey team , which won the gold medal at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin . He played there in five games for British India on the position of halfback .

In 1956 he moved with his family to England, where he lived until his death.

Galibardy was the last living player in the 1936 Olympic hockey final.
