Joseph Kunzmann

Kaspar Joseph Kunzmann (born July 6, 1814 in Sauersack , † June 20, 1873 in Vienna ) was a Bohemian kk lace and white goods manufacturer , partner and entrepreneur .

Life

Joseph Kunzmann was the youngest child of the lace dealer Joseph Kunzmann Sen. (1773-1826) and his wife Ludmilla nee. Gottschald (1774–1843) was born in Sauersack house number 24. His uncle was the top trader Franz Anton Gottschald (1763-1813), who owned the company Anton Gottschald & Comp., Which was founded in 1780 (according to other information as early as 1750) . gave his name.

After the death of his father, his mother took over the management of the company with the previous partners Anton Karl Korb and Felix Kerl . In 1843/44, Kunzmann, as one of three new partners, was given the license to manufacture white and black silks, twine, lace, blond and silk tulls as well as gauze embroidery. In the same year the company brought a quantity of 1400 quintals of linen lace into circulation. With the decision to move the company headquarters from Hirschenstand to Neudek, Kunzmann and his family moved from Sauersack to Neudek in 1846 , where a factory was built. In 1868 his son Karl Kunzmann joined the company, who also had the right of representation and who was responsible for the administration of the company headquarters. On the other hand, Kunzmann moved to Vienna with his youngest son. A company branch was founded here with increasing sales, which developed into the center of the entire company and for which he last worked as a white goods manufacturer. He died there in 1873.

In 1877 his son Kamill Kunzmann was registered as an authorized signatory for the white and haberdashery trade in Vienna.

Kunzmann married on February 10, 1835 in Bergstadt Platten Maria Anna Karolina Kerl (born January 19, 1812 in Platten; † April 8, 1853), the daughter of the merchant Franz Anton Kerl . The following children were born from the marriage:
