Joseph Lekens
Joseph Adam Eugene Lekens (born April 22, 1911 in Antwerp , † September 13, 1973 there ) was a Belgian ice hockey player .
Career
Joseph Lekens took part in the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for the Belgian national team. With his team he finished 13th and last place. He himself was used in three games during the tournament.
At club level, he played for Le Puck Antwerp, with whom he won the Belgian championship several times in the 1920s . In addition, he later ran for CPA Antwerp, the Brusselse IJshockeyclub and the Metro IHC.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Belgian ice hockey, he was named a member of the Belgian team of the century together with Björn Steijlen , Mike Pellegrims , Willy Kreitz , Bob Moris senior and Bob Moris junior in November 2008 .
