Joseph Malouf
Joseph Malouf SMSP (born December 6, 1893 in Zabbougha in Lebanon , † March 5, 1968 ) was called Rasheed Saleem Malouf and was Archbishop of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church of Baalbek in Lebanon.
Life
Joseph Malouf was ordained a religious priest of the Melkite Paulists on July 20, 1925 . On October 5, 1937, he was appointed Bishop of Baalbek. After confirmation on October 26, 1937, he was ordained bishop on the same day . He became the successor to Melezio Abou-Assaleh . From 1941 to 1943 he was also the Apostolic Administrator of Akka in Israel . From 1962 to 1965 he was a participant in all sessions of the Second Vatican Council . After the diocese of Baalbek had been raised to an archbishopric , he was appointed archbishop on November 18, 1964.
