Joseph Wallace "Joe" McCormick (born August 12, 1895 in Buckingham , Québec , Canada , † June 14, 1958 in Sudbury ) was an American- Canadian ice hockey player . He played in the position of the striker.
Because of his military service for the US Army in World War I , McCormick received US citizenship and was thus also eligible to play for the USA.
At the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp , he won the silver medal in the Olympic ice hockey tournament with the US national team , which consisted of players from St. Paul AC , Pittsburgh AA and Boston AA . His older brother Lawrence was also a member of the Olympic team.
