Joseph Prokop Baron von Heinke

Joseph Prokop Heinke , from 1767 von Heinke , 1775 Knight von Heinke and from 1790 Freiherr von Heinke (also Josef ; * 1758 in Prague ; † 1838 ) was an Austrian lawyer .

Life

Heinke was the son of the lawyer Franz Josef von Heinke . He studied at the universities of Vienna and Prague and received private tuition from professors. From 1779 he worked as court concipist for spiritual affairs and was promoted to the Gubernialrat in Bohemia in 1785 , although on the intervention of his father he was transferred as government secretary for Lower Austria responsible for feudal affairs . In 1807 he was appointed to the Lower Austrian feudal council and in 1813 to the real government councilor by Emperor Franz . After the Peace of Paris in 1815, he was used to regulate the feudal system in Italy, Illyria, Dalmatia and Tyrol. In addition, he arranged the Lower Austrian princely fief archive systematically according to the main elements of fief law.

Heinke was also active in civil servant training. He was Examination Commissioner for twelve years and Vice Director of Law for five years. Heinke is also said to have been an art lover and artist himself. He probably died in Vienna. He lived there at least until shortly before his death.
