Jost Kramer

Jost W. Kramer (born March 11, 1960 in Pinneberg ; † February 12, 2012 ) was a German business economist.

After training as a banker at Hamburger Sparkasse , Kramer studied economics and political science in Marburg (Lahn) and Lincoln (Nebraska) from 1982 to 1987 . He then worked for three years as a research assistant with Eberhard Dülfer at the Philipps University of Marburg , before he became managing director of the Institute for Cooperatives at the Humboldt University in Berlin from 1991 and from 1996 to 1997 managing director of the Institute for Cooperatives of the Westphalian Wilhelms- University of Munster was. In 1997 he received his PhD Dr. rer. pole. in Marburg. Until 2001 he was a consultant at the Federal Association of German Volksbanks and Raiffeisenbanks (BVR) in Bonn and from 2001 he was Professor of General Business Administration at the University of Wismar . In addition to his teaching activities, Kramer developed a comprehensive and wide-ranging publication activity.

In 2012 Kramer succumbed to cancer.
