Jouk Minor

Jouk Minor (born February 20, 1947 in Paris ) is a French jazz musician ( clarinet , flute , sarrusophone ).

Minor first learned flamenco - guitar . After discovering free jazz , he became a saxophonist in the band of François Tusques . In 1973 he founded the Armonicord ensemble , whose first line-up included Bernard Vitet , Kent Carter and Rachid Houari. He was also involved in recordings by Alan Silva ( Seasons , 1970; The Shout , 1979), Michel Portal ( Spendid Yzlment ), Bernard Vitet ( La Guépe ), Eje Thelin and Pierre Favre ( Candles of Vision ). In addition, he composed theater music and built mouthpieces and guitars. In the 1990s he explored the Sarrusophone and played in a duo with Philippe Neveu and in Daunik Lazro's quartet .
