Jouswier is a small village in the municipality of Noardeast-Fryslân in the Dutch province of Friesland . It is located northeast of Dokkum and has 45 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).
Jouswier is on a mound created that is higher than other mounds in the eastern part of the municipality. Moreover Jouswier has a church from the 13th century that Simon Peter is dedicated.
