Jozef Feranec (born March 14, 1910 in Pobedim ; † May 3, 2003 in Banská Bystrica ) was bishop of Banská Bystrica .

Life

Jozef Feranec was ordained a priest on December 18, 1932 .

Paul VI appointed him on February 19, 1973 bishop of Banska Bystrica. The Secretary of the Holy Congregation for the Extraordinary Affairs of the Church, Agostino Casaroli , consecrated him Bishop on March 3 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were František Tomášek , Apostolic Administrator of Prague , and Cardinal Štěpán Trochta SDB , Bishop of Leitmeritz . On February 14, 1990, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
