Pobedim (until 1927 Slovak "Pobedím"; German Popudin , Hungarian Pobedény - until 1907 Pobedim ) is a municipality in western Slovakia . It is located in the Danube Hills , 10 km from Piešťany and 16 km from Nové Mesto nad Váhom .
The place was first mentioned in writing in 1392. Pobedim is also an archaeological site, with discoveries from the Bronze , Roman and Slavic periods. A castle from the time of Prince Pribina was discovered in the municipality.
