Trenčianske Bohuslavice (until 1927 Slovak "Bohuslavice"; Hungarian Bogoszló - until 1907 Boguszlávic ) is a municipality in the west of Slovakia with 928 inhabitants (December 31, 2019), which for Nové Mesto nad Váhom District , part of the kraj Trenčiansky belongs.
geography
The village is located in the Považské podolie valley by the Beckov gate, on the left bank of the Bošáčka brook , which flows into the Váh . Turecký vrch ( 345 m nm ) rises to the south, and Hájnica ( 341 m nm ) to the north protects it . The center of the village lies at an altitude of 196 m nm and is six kilometers from Nové Mesto nad Váhom and 19 kilometers from Trenčín .
history
The place was first mentioned in writing in 1208 as villa Buczlai . The village belonged to the Bohuslaviczky and Maloveczky families , and to the Erdődys in the 18th century .
In 1784 there were 29 houses and 204 inhabitants, in 1828 39 houses and 300 inhabitants, who were mostly farmers and winemakers. Around 1928 there was a quarry and a brick factory.

According to the 2011 census, Trenčianske Bohuslavice had 899 inhabitants, 854 of whom were Slovaks and one each from Bulgaria, Croatia, Magyars, Moravians and Czechs. 40 residents did not answer. 704 residents committed themselves to the Roman Catholic Church, 74 residents to the Evangelical Church AB, three residents to the Greek Catholic Church and one resident to the Apostolic Church; three residents were of a different denomination. 60 inhabitants were without a denomination and the denomination of 56 inhabitants has not been determined.
