Častkovce (German Tschächtkowitz , Hungarian Császtó - until 1907 Csasztkóc is a municipality in) west of Slovakia with a population of 1,597 (December 31, 2019), which for Nové Mesto nad Váhom District , part of the kraj Trenčiansky belongs.
geography
The municipality is located in the upper part of the Trnavská pahorkatina hills not far from the Little Carpathians . The Dubová stream flows past the village to the east, and the Dudváh rises to the west in the foothills of the Little Carpathians . The center of the village is at an altitude of 178 m nm and is nine kilometers from Nové Mesto nad Váhom .
Neighboring municipalities are Čachtice in the north, Pobedim in the southeast, Podolie in the south and Hrachovište in the west.
history
The place was first mentioned in writing in 1392 as Chastko and for a long time belonged to the estate of Schächtitz Castle . In 1855 the estate came to the Breuner family . In 1828 there were 93 houses and 633 inhabitants who lived from agriculture.
Until 1918, the place in Neutra County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.

According to the 2011 census, there were 1107 inhabitants in Častkovce, of which 1072 were Slovaks, 4 Roma, 2 Czechs and one Moravian and one Ukrainian; one resident belonged to a different ethnic group. 26 residents gave no information in this regard. 952 residents committed themselves to the Roman Catholic Church, 26 residents to the Evangelical Church AB, 6 residents to the Apostolic Church, 2 residents to the Congregational Church and one resident each to the Mormons, the Evangelical Methodist Church, the Greek Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church Church; 4 residents professed a different denomination. 73 residents had no denomination and 40 residents had no denomination.
