The Zcheniszqali ( Georgian ცხენისწყალი ) is a right tributary of the Rioni in Georgia .
The Zcheniszqali rises on the southern flank of the Greater Caucasus . It flows through the Ratscha-Letschchumi region and Lower Vanetia in a predominantly western direction. He passes the city of Lentechi , where the two right tributaries Laskadura and Cheledula flow to him. The river then turns to the south-southwest. It flows through the city of Zageri . He later crosses the border to the Imereti region , leaves the mountainous region and reaches the Colchian Plain . The small town of Choni is on the left bank of the river. In the lower reaches of the Zcheniszqali forms the border to the Mingrelia and Upper Svaneti region . The river finally flows west of Samtredia into the west-flowing Rioni.
The Tcheniszqali has a length of 176 km. It drains an area of 2120 km². The mean discharge is 60.2 m³ / s. Some of the river water is diverted for irrigation purposes .
