Nová Lehota (until 1927 in Slovak "Nová Lehôta"; German Neulehota - older also Neuhau , Hungarian Újszabadi - until 1907 Újlehota ) is a municipality in western Slovakia .
The place was mentioned for the first time in 1348 and is located about 22 kilometers southeast of the town of Nové Mesto nad Váhom in the Inowetz Mountains .
