Juan Manuel Gómez , full name Juan Manuel Gómez Silvera , (born February 22, 1990 in Paysandú ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.84-meter-tall offensive player Gómez began playing football in his home department Paysandú and was Uruguayan champion there in 2004 with the U-15 department selection. He was a member of the Liverpool Montevideo youth team for at least 2006 and 2007 . With the Montevideans he got into reserve or junior team of the Tercera División. In the 2010/11 season he was in the first division squad of Miramar Misiones , made his debut there in the Primera División and completed four first division games that season. He didn't score a goal. In 2012, after a failed move to Ecuador, an engagement at Real Hervido in Fray Bentos followed . At Apertura 2012 he joined the then second division club Atlético Rentistas . There he could not assert himself, however. In 2013 he played in the Liga Mayor of the Department of San José for Tito Borjas and appeared there as a successful goalscorer. In June 2014 he moved to Río Negro. At the latest since the 2017 season, in which he played nine first division games (one goal), he was in the ranks of the Rampla Juniors . At the beginning of July 2017, the Chilean second division team Deportes Copiapó signed him .

National team

Gómez was a member of Ángel Castelnoble 's Uruguayan U-15 selection, which took part in the U-15 South American Championship in Bolivia in 2005 . He had been a member of the Uruguayan U-17 national team since at least March 2006 and was part of the squad at the 2007 U-17 South American Championship in Ecuador .
