The roof structure with the effect of a tent rests all around on exposed concrete pillars , in the spaces between which the windows extend from the roof edge to the floor. The interior has a hexagonal base. Three square and three triangular roof sides above the light band of the windows lead high above the sanctuary to an isosceles triangle as a horizontal roof window. The west side is preceded by the entrance area, to which the sacristy and sacristy are integrated to the right and left . The church interior is 16 meters high with a floor area of approx. 450 m². The benches arranged in a semicircle with two side aisles offer 400 seats and take the sanctuary in their center. The altar , baptismal table and pulpit are made in simple shapes from black wood. The organ has 2 manuals and a pedal with a total of 18 stops and is to the left of the sanctuary. It was installed in 1970 by the Walcker company, Ludwigsburg.

Large events are the church services on Christmas Eve and confirmation, the theater church service on Good Friday, the family church services at the end of the children's holiday week ("KiWo") in August and on Thanksgiving, and the gospel concert at the end of the workshop weekend.

As a winter church, services are celebrated in the parish hall from the Sunday after New Year until the Sunday Judika (Sunday before Palm Sunday) in order to reduce heating costs and environmental pollution; instead of organ playing, the piano sounds.

Church tower and bells

The steeple of the Jubilate Church is made of exposed concrete and repeats the geometric structure of the church building. It stretches on six mighty pillars to a height of 37 meters. He carries three bells in his belfry . They were ceremonially cast in 1967 in the presence of Pastor Poguntke and some parishioners in the foundry Gebr. Bachert in Karlsruhe . They were assembled by the Pfullinger company Walz & Hielscher, which also installed the bell cage.

The bells have inscriptions from Psalm 100 , from which the name of the church was derived.

  • The baptismal bell "Jauchzet dem Herr alle Welt" weighs 450 kg and is tuned to the tone b ′.
  • The call bell "Serve the Lord with joy" weighs 637 kg and is tuned to the tone as ′.
  • The prayer bell "Come before his face with rejoicing" weighs 1023 kg and is tuned to the tone f ′.

According to a resolution of the parish council of April 1993, the prayer bell rings every day at 12 noon and 6 p.m. On Saturdays at 6 p.m., all three bells ring in Sunday. Always half an hour before the service begins, the call bell rings for the service, at the beginning of the service all three bells ring together.

The bells of the Jubilate Church are the only ones in the Orschel-Hagen district; There are no bells in the tower of the neighboring Catholic St.

Entertains

The Friends of the Jubilate Church e. V. was founded on May 27, 2005 after the general parish decided not to keep the Jubilate Church. Since then, around 120 members have raised the necessary funds through membership fees, donations, sponsoring, personal work and cost-cutting measures to secure the long-term existence of the Jubilate Church. The Friends' Association is closely connected with the Jubilate parish. In 2017, he also had the funds to cope with the upcoming renovation of the six roof areas.

At the end of 2016, the State Office for Monument Preservation added the Jubilate Church, including its tower, to the list of cultural monuments in Baden-Württemberg . The church square is included, but the neighboring community center is not.

As a result, the entire parish repealed its resolution from 2005 and has financed the church building and the church tower from church tax funds again since the beginning of 2018. It pays in to the maintenance and renovation reserve, while the Jubilate parish and the support association cover the running costs (heating, electricity).
