Judith Henry
Judith Henry (born May 16, 1968 in Paris ) is a French actress .
Life
Henry studied at the École des enfants du spectacle (Collège Rognoni) and the École nationale du cirque (CNAC). She made her theatrical debut in 1979 at the age of eleven at the Paris student theater Théâtre de l'Aquarium in La Soeur de Shakespeare based on Virginia Woolf , directed by Jacques Nichet . Further theater appearances followed, including in 1990 William Shakespeare's Macbeth , directed by Matthias Langhoff at the Théâtre Vidy in Lausanne . From 1990 to 2005, Henry was also involved in productions for the theater company Sentimental Bureau , of which she was a founding member in 1990, and appeared in productions of Jean-Luc Godard ( Les carabiniers , 1991) and Serge Daney ( L'exercise a été profitable, Monsieur , 2003).
Henry took her first film role in 1982 in the television production Le piano des songes by Michel Vuillermet . Her screen debut in 1988 was René Allio's A Doctor of Hope . She had her breakthrough as a film actress in 1990 in Christian Vincent's Die Schwewiegene . For her portrayal of Catherine Legeay, who was seduced by Antoine ( Fabrice Luchini ) in revenge on all women and then intentionally abandoned, Henry was awarded a César for Best Young Actress in 1991 . Three years later she received a César nomination in the category Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Catherine Maheu in Germinal . In the television series Xanadu for a porn film production company, Henry took on the continuous role of producer wife Anne Valadine in 2011.
