The youth resistance was an anti-Semitic , Maoist , Stalinist , militant group from Berlin that existed from 2015 to 2019 and, according to the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, left-wing extremists . In graffiti the group was also abbreviated as JW . The group is said to have been particularly active in Berlin-Neukölln . Other left groups distanced themselves from the association.

The group was best known for their willingness to use violence , for their aggressive anti-Zionism and hatred of anti-German people . The members of the group are said to have perpetrated violence against left-wing groups. People outside the left-wing extremist scene who speak out in favor of Israel's right to exist are also said to have been attacked. Jews were threatened with murder. The group also took part in the annual al-Quds day in Berlin.

According to the Berlin Office for the Protection of the Constitution, the youth resistance is said to have emerged from the environment of the Revolutionary Action Cells (RAZ) and was organized in a strictly dogmatic and cadre-like manner. The RAZ was investigated in 2013 for the formation of a criminal organization based on several bomb attacks. Spokesman in Berlin is said to have been a rapper with the pseudonym "Taktikka". In addition, what he calls himself, TJ Detweiler enjoyed a leading role in the group. The youth resistance is said to have been associated with the Maoist group Socialist Left (SoL) from Hamburg. However, a feud developed from it, as the Berliners should have felt controlled by the SoL. The feud was fought with long publications about internals on the Internet as well as physical confrontations.

The group sought a civil war in Germany to overcome the system. The positive reference of the group to terms such as “people”, “fatherland”, “homeland” and “fame and honor” or the insulting of opponents as enemies of the people were atypical for a group operating as left. A member of the group was also formerly in the NPD .

The Berlin Office for the Protection of the Constitution observed the group and mentioned it in Chapter 6.4 of the Berlin Office for the Protection of the Constitution 2017. Left - wing extremist anti-Semitism (pp. 191–196). Left as well as Greens demanded a repressive treatment of the small group, since a dialogue with it is not possible.

Within the democratically oriented left in Berlin, the group was seen as isolated.

On June 9, 2019, the group announced its dissolution. On the morning of June 26, 2019, the police and the public prosecutor's office searched nine apartments of seven members of the group in Berlin and North Rhine-Westphalia, and among other things, weapons, data storage devices, mobile phones and masking items were seized . The announced resolution is rated by those familiar with the scene as a tactic to make investigations more difficult.
