Jukka-Pekka Laamanen (born October 4, 1976 in Savonlinna ) is a Finnish ice hockey player who has been under contract with HPK Hämeenlinna in the SM-liiga since 2008 .

Career

Jukka-Pekka Laamanen began his career as a hockey player in the 1994/95 season with SaPKo Savonlinna in the second-rate I Divisioona , for which he had already played in youth. He then moved to JYP Jyväskylä in the SM-liiga , which he left after only one season to play again for Savonlinna in the second division. There he stayed for the following three years before running up in the 2000/01 season for Tappara Tampere from the SM-liiga and the second division club Hermes Kokkola .

Another season followed in which Laamanen played both first and second rate when he was active for Ilves Tampere and Jukurit Mikkeli . Then Laamanen made the breakthrough in the SM-liiga in the 2001/02 season , when he scored 29 scorer points in 53 games for Ässät Pori , including eight goals. In the years 2002 to 2004 Laamanen played again with Ilves Tampere. Then HPK Hämeenlinna took him under contract, with whom he was Finnish champion for the first time in 2006 .

Following this success, Laamanen switched to their league rivals Kärpät Oulu , with whom he also won the championship in 2007 and 2008. Before the 2008/09 season, he finally returned to HPK Hämeenlinna.

International

For Finland Laamanen took part in the Junior World Championship in 1996 and the A-World Championship in 2007 . At the 2007 World Cup, he and his team won the silver medal.
