Jukka Piekkanen (born November 22, 1975 in Helsinki ) is a former Finnish diver . He started in artificial jumping from the 1-meter and 3-meter board and with Ville Vahtola in 3-meter synchronized jumping . Piekkanen won a bronze medal at European Championships and took part in two Olympic Games .

Piekkanen took part in a European championship for the first time in Vienna in 1995 , on the 3-meter board he reached 16th place. Two years later he reached the final at the European championship in Seville and was eighth. In 1998 Piekkanen started in Perth for the first time at a world championship , but he was eliminated from the 1-meter and 3-meter board in the preliminary fight. At the European Championships in Istanbul in 1999 , Piekkanen won his first and only medal in a major championship, winning bronze from the 3-meter board. He took part in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney , but retired from the 3-meter board in the preliminary fight. After that, there were initially no final places at the season highlights. It was not until the 2004 European Championships in Madrid that he reached a final from the 3-meter board and was eleventh. In the 3-meter synchronized jumping, he also jumped with Vahtola at the 2003 World Cup in Barcelona in 17th place and in seventh place at the 2004 European Championships. In 2004 Piekkanen started in Athens for the last time at the Olympic Games and retired from the 3-meter board again in the preliminary fight.

Piekkanen ended his active career after the 2006 European Championships in Budapest , where he finished twelfth from the 3-meter board.
