Julia Iwersen

Julia Iwersen (* 1965 ) is a German religious scholar .

Life

Iwersen took a degree in history , religious studies and philosophy . The doctorate took place with a thesis on the historical-sociological background of the ancient Gnosis at the Philipps-Universität Marburg . Then she was a lecturer at the University of Bremen and the University of Hamburg . She had research stays at the University of St Andrews (Scotland) and Yale University (USA). Scientific work was carried out in the areas of Gnosis, Esotericism and New Age . Iwersen lives in Hamburg.
