Mount Becker is a prominent Antarctic mountain looming about 1.5 km northeast of Mount Boyer in the Merrick Mountains in Ellsworthland .
He was discovered on the basis of aerial photographs taken during the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948) under the direction of the American polar explorer Finn Ronne . Ronne named him after Ralph Elihu Becker (1907-1994), later Ambassador of the United States in Honduras , who helped the expedition raise funds.
