Julia Müller

Julia Müller (born December 10, 1985 in Hamburg ) is a German hockey player .

Career

Julia Müller started playing hockey at Harvestehuder THC . With the HTHC she won two indoor championship titles and one outdoor title. After an interlude in the youth team of FC Barcelona, ​​she became an indoor champion with the HTHC in 2007. Julia Müller currently plays in the Netherlands for MHC Laren .

In 2005 Julia Müller became vice world champion of the U21, in 2006 she became European champion with the U21. In 2007 she was named the best player of the tournament at the World Indoor Championships in Vienna, and the German team took third place. In the open air, the defender was European champion in 2007 with the German national hockey team. In 2008, she and Germany took second place at the FIH Champions Trophy in Mönchengladbach. At the Olympic Games in 2008 she finished fourth with Germany as well as at the World Cup in 2010 , at the European Championships in 2009 and 2011 she won the silver medal.

At the 2016 Olympic Games , she and her hockey team won the bronze medal. For this she was honored on November 1, 2016 by being awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf . After the tournament, she ended her international career and was inducted into the hockey hall of fame in 2018.

Julia Müller has played 269 international matches for Germany, 12 of them indoors.
