Julian Flessati (born January 26, 1992 in Heerbrugg ) is a former Swiss sailor . Together with the crew member Tobias Rüdlinger , he sailed as a helmsman in the 470 class.

Flessati started sailing at the age of fifteen and won his first national regatta in 2008 . Flessati first sailed in the 420 class before starting to sail on 470 sailboats in the summer of 2010. At the Junior World Championships 2011 in Medemblik , the Netherlands , came the 27th place finish. At the European Junior Championships 2011 in Nieuwpoort , Belgium , they finished 6th. Then the duo Flessati / Rüdlinger succeeded in joining the youth team of the Swiss Sailing Team.

The duo's greatest success so far is winning the elite runner-up Swiss championship title in 2011 in Stäfa . The duo Flessati / Rüdlinger could not repeat the result of the previous year at the SM 2012 in Estavayer-le-Lac . Only the 9th final rank was on the balance sheet. At the 2013 Swiss Championships on Lake Reschen , Flessati finished in 6th place. Shortly thereafter, Julian Flessati announced his immediate retirement from professional sailing. Despite resigning from professional sailing, the sailing couple Flessati / Rüdlinger achieved 5th place at the 2014 Swiss Championship in Biel / Bienne .

Flessati is a member of the Rietli sailing club and was part of the youth team of the Swiss Sailing Association.
