Julian von Chelmicki

Julian Stanisław Chełmicki (born April 18, 1825 in Gnesen ; † May 31, 1909 in Zydowo , Gnesen district ) was a manor owner, doctor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Chelmicki was the son of judge Piotr Chelmicki and attended the St. Maria Magdalena grammar school in Poznan . He studied medicine at the University of Berlin and received his doctorate in 1850. In 1877 he moved to Posen, took over the manor owydowo after the death of his father and ran agriculture there.

He was a member of the provincial state parliament for the Gnesen district and a district council member of the Gnesen district. From 1884 to 1890 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Bromberg 5 Gnesen , Wongrowitz , Witkowo and the Polish parliamentary group . Between 1889 and 1893 he was also a member of the Prussian House of Representatives .
