Juliane Pfeil-Zabel (born February 3, 1987 in Plauen ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Saxon state parliament between 2014 and 2019 .

Life

Juliane Pfeil-Zabel grew up in Theuma and graduated from high school in 2005. First she studied political science at the TU Chemnitz , later history at the University of Leipzig . After a short baby break, she worked at the Vivere e. V. , then in the citizens' office of the SPD Bundestag member Wolfgang Gunkel .

Pfeil-Zabel joined the SPD in 2003. From 2012 to 2014 she was deputy chairwoman of the SPD Vogtland and has been a member of the state executive since 2008. She was involved with the Jusos for many years and was their deputy chairman for three years until 2012. Since 2014 she has been the local club chairwoman of the SPD Plauen.

Pfeil-Zabel has been a member of the city council of Plauen since 2009. As a member of the Administrative Committee, the Social Committee and the Disability Aid Working Group, her political priorities in the past few years have primarily been in the social field. Since 2012 she has been a board member of Arbeiterwohlfahrt Plauen. She is also a member of the Forum Kunst in Plauen.

On a voluntary basis, she continues to chair the Working Group of Social Democratic Women (ASF) Vogtland. She is an assessor in the state board of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Bildung (AfB) and a member of the board of the Social Democratic Community for Local Politics in Saxony (SGK).

In the state elections in Saxony in 2014 , Pfeil-Zabel won a mandate on the state list of her party and entered the Saxon state parliament. There she was spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group on the topics of family, early childhood education and integration. She was also a member of the Committee on Social Affairs and Consumer Protection, Equality and Integration, the Petitions Committee and the Committee on School and Sport. As part of her activities, she was a member of working group I (social affairs, education and finance) and working group III (economy / work, science / art, equality and integration) of the SPD parliamentary group.

In the 2019 state elections , she missed another entry into the state parliament.

Private

Juliane Pfeil-Zabel lives with her two children in Plauen. She lives separately from her husband Benjamin Zabel.
