Julien Dupuy (born December 19, 1983 in Périgueux , Dordogne department ) is a former French rugby union player . He played as a scrum half for Stade Français and the French national team . He is currently a skills trainer at RC Toulon .

Dupuy began his professional career at Biarritz Olympique . He was able to win the French championship twice there and was once in the final of the Heineken Cup . In 2008 he moved to England to join the Leicester Tigers . He became English champion and again reached the Heineken Cup final. After only one season he returned to France. He has been playing for Stade Français since the 2009/10 season.

Dupuy made his debut for France in the game against the All Blacks in Dunedin , which the French won. He was also a regular player during the November international games and was responsible for the team's kicks. Among other things, France won against the reigning world champions South Africa . In December 2009 he was banned for six months for eye-gougings , i.e. unauthorized contact with the opponent's eyes, during the Heineken Cup game against Ulster .
