Julito Buhisan Cortes
Julito Buhisan Cortes (born July 4, 1956 in Parañaque City , Philippines ) is a Filipino clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Dumaguete .
Life
Julito Buhisan Cortes was ordained a priest on October 24, 1980 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Severiana and auxiliary bishop in Cebu on October 24, 2001 . The Archbishop of Cebu, Ricardo Jamin Cardinal Vidal , donated him episcopal ordination on January 8 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Onesimo Cadiz Gordoncillo , Archbishop of Capiz , and John Forrosuelo Du , Bishop of Dumaguete .
Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Dumaguete on September 28, 2013. The inauguration took place on December 5th of the same year.
