Julius Albert Elsasser
Julius Albert Elsasser (born August 13, 1814 in Berlin , † December 25, 1859 in Rome ) was a German landscape painter.
Elsasser studied at the Prussian Academy of Arts in Berlin with Carl Blechen .
In the autumn of 1839 he came to Rome after his brother Friedrich August Elsasser (1810-1845). There he married Franziska Kördel, niece of the sculptor Johann Werner Henschel, on April 14, 1850 .
Elsasser was a co-founder of the German Art Association in Rome . He was sponsored by the Queen of Prussia, Elisabeth Ludovika von Bayern .
